The competitive season for Poteau Pirates Esports has been going for a little over a month now. We have approximately 32 students competing across 9 different games for the Fall season. Here are a few highlights
Super Smash Brothers –
Our Super Smash Brothers players had their first in-person tournament of the year on 9-29, with CJ Milligan finishing 2nd in the 64 man tournament, James Lamb and Luis Juarez finishing with a 2-2 record, Sawyer Chitwood finishing with a 1-2 record, and Abraham Xiong and Dillinger Bauman finishing 0-2. They will be in competition again at the end of October.
Rocket League –
Our Rocket League Trios team consists of 3 starters: Joseph Barber, Chris Ramirez, and Jesus Vasquez with backups of Kriston Stewart, Carson Cohen, and Joshua Wiles. They are currently 4-2 and ranked #3 in their classification.
Madden ’26 –
Krystopher McNac and Kriston Stewart start their Madden 2026 season this week.
Street Fighter 6 –
Ryan Mcgee is currently undefeated on the season.
Chess –
Logan Ballard is currently undefeated on the season.
Rainbow Six: Siege –
We have 2 teams:
Team 1 – Kayden Kemper, Austin Watson, Blaine Cox, Matthew Brown, and Charley Thompson. They are currently 3-0 and tied for #2 in their classification.
Team 2 – Joseph Barber, Colten Rieckmann, Joseph Mendoza, Elijah Skaggs, and Aaron Kimble. They are currently 1-2 on the season.
Marvel Rivals –
Our Marvel Rivals team consists of Kayden Kemper, Blaine Cox, Mikal Goforth, Jaxon Cole, DJ Hornbuckle, and James Lamb, with backups of Austin Watson, Trek Snyder, Angel Nava, and Luis Juarez.
They are currently 2-2 on the season.
All teams are in play for the rest of the month, seeking to make the playoffs. There is a month and a half of play left in the Fall season before playoffs start.
