Get ready Pirates, in February the PHS soccer team will be starting their season. The soccer team has been preparing and working very hard for this upcoming season. Coach Hall describes how the team has been working extra hard during practices. “We have emphasized and focused on our fitness and comprehension of the game so far throughout training”. Senior Alicia Bruno has many goals she hopes she and her team accomplish this season. “As a team, I hope that we make it to the playoffs and give 100% in each game and during practice.” Senior Dominic Smith, along with his fellow teammates, are looking forward to many things this season. “ I’m looking forward to being more of a team than we were last year. We’ve gotten to know each other a lot more.” As this season is getting started soon, all of our players are getting prepared and motivated. Coach Hall shares some words of encouragement, “Every player needs to believe in the process and their own abilities and remember to enjoy the journey.” In addition to journeys, this will be the last ride for some of our seniors. Alicia shares how being a part of the soccer team has impacted her high school career. “What I’m going to miss the most is all the friendships I’ve made through the years.” Dominic adds to this, “I got to grow up with a certain group of people and learned lessons from each other.” We can’t wait to see how well the soccer team does this season and we wish them the best of luck! Go Pirates!
