We are halfway through basketball which means the Pom Squad’s season is coming to an end. From dancing on the sidelines to halftime performances, it has all been spectacular. Coach Shea Hebert is certainly proud, “ I want to tell them how proud I am of each of them. We have all learned so much this year and they are such a great group of girls!”At this point in the school year, many on the squad find themselves realizing their time together is about to come to an end. “My favorite part of my senior year was getting to know everyone a little better,” says senior Adriana Crouch. Senior Chani Lloyd adds to this, “My favorite part of this season so far was getting to be captain and creating some of our dances.” The Pom squad will be having a few more performances during halftime of home basketball games, and then it will be time for try-outs. “There is no better way to end a year than without try-outs and new-fresh faces joining the squad,” Coach Hebert talks about how next year she wants to incorporate more OSSAA Game Day competition requirements. Pom has been a memorable part of our seniors’ high school career. “ I want to tell this team thank you for all the amazing memories and experiences we have had. Any new people who decide to join, be excited because we become family and you won’t regret it!” Chani shares how joining Pom is one of the best experiences you can have. Adrianna adds to this, “You will form so many new friendships and being on the sidelines is such a surreal feeling.” We are extremely proud of the Pom Squad for all their accomplishments. We can’t wait to see what is brought to the sidelines next year, Go Pirates!
