Christmas time means cold weather, snowy nights, christmas lights, hot chocolate, presents, and the Angel Tree. The Angel Tree is a charity operation whose purpose is to help kids get the Christmas they deserve. “We do the angel tree to try and help students who may not get as much on Christmas.” Mr. Caldwell told us. The biggest goal this year is to raise as much money as possible. “The more we raise, the more we can help.” said Mr. Caldwell. In order to raise money, we do Penny Wars. Penny Wars is an annual competition between all four grades. Whichever grade raises the most money gets a double lunch. If the school as a whole raises a certain amount of money, different prizes are given.
$500 – Pajama Day on December 5th.
$1,000 – 1 student will win a free parking pass and an all sports pass.
$2,000 – Coaches will wear wigs.
$3,000 – Teacher pie in the face at pep rally.
