As the stadium lights slowly fade after an intense and unforgettable football season, our Pom squad looks back on months filled with energy, discipline, and growth. Week after week, they stood on the sidelines to motivate the team and the crowd, and each routine brought them closer together as performers and as a team.
With coaches Meygan Mode and Charlee Gilliam, one can see that the team is doing well. They keep the team a fun place. We have four seniors this year: Kimber Greer (4th year), Cambry Dunn (4th year), Kaylee May (4th year), and Aniston Cox (2nd year). Through all the practice and travel, some memories will always stand out. “My favorite memory would have to be our annual cabin retreats. They are always so much fun, and I love getting to spend time with my team,” says senior Kimber Greer.
It’s also time for competition season again, which is something to look forward to. “I am excited to see other dancers do skills that they have and what place we get!” Says Amber Johnson. The big goal the girls are working towards now is Nationals in Orlando, Florida. In mid-February, it will be time to represent Poteau. “I am most looking forward to spending time with my team and just experiencing Nationals, since I have never been before!” says the captain Kimber Greer.
