Poteau High School’s insanely talented art club always goes to extra mile to make school events and our community a little brighter. “The decorating process can be stressful because balloons pop really easily; we also have to go back to Hopper’s classroom a lot for forgotten supplies. But, it is also fun because you get to make really cool things with just paper, glue, string, and glitter” shared freshman member Ember Hebert. They are currently working on creating decorations for our annual Mr. PHS contest which will be held on March 12th in the BLK. This year’s theme is St Patrick’s Day, “The theme is based on whatever holiday is closest! St Patrick’s Day is also a holiday all about fun so it is perfect,” said Ms. Katie Hopper They have also gone out of their way to decorate all the past homecomings. Outside of going the extra mile to make our school events stick out they have also painted the widows of different local businesses including 7 Brew. When discussing the duties of art club President, Bradley Jager stated “Really, it’s more of Ms. Hopper cult appreciation club.”
